Astron presents at the UK's Cryogenic Electric Propulsion Systems seminar
Rafal presented at the UK Magnetics Society's Cryogenic Electric Propulsion Systems seminar on Astron's innovative work designing, building, and testing high power non-superconducting cryogenic electric machines to power rocket engines.
As one of very few companies globally actively developing high power non-superconducting cryogenic electric machines our work was of particular interest to the society. He presented on the process for designing our in-house developed high power non-superconducting cryogenic electric machine, the construction process, and the testing we performed with our prototype including within our first prototype hybrid electric turbopump unit.
